has anyone experienced motion/blur sickness while gaming? i recently changed to a new monitor (ips231) and i cant play any fps nor racing games.. sometimesi feel like im just gonna throw up

i feel its happening when the monitor is ghosting/lagging really bad when i move my mouse, such things never happened with my old laptop.. and i could play hours without complaints
it could be because of the bigger screen (23" inch) cause ive only used 15.6-21" monitors before but i doubt that its causing the probleem -- i sit meter and half away from the screen

now im in a situation that i need to buy a second monitor, i guess it would be either benq top of the line 60hz or benq 2411t
i dont want to waste my money but 120hz is sketchy as some people say that they get sick with the fast movement - again.. (idk if its true though)
any suggestions/help?.. thank you

120Hz Probably won't do a thing for you motion sickness, but it could. Most people would need two 780s to play games at 120 frames per second. If you can get a consistent 60 FPS and disable motion blur then it would help. (It helped me, I got sick every time the blur was too bad or the FPS dropped below like 30)

idk.. people report that having 60fps with 120hz monitor feels smoother than with 60hz monitor
disabling motion blur doesnt help here.. my ips monitor is just too damn slow and ghosting. thats probably the reason why im having nausea. also ips colors tend to be too colorful and vibrant for like -- fps. which can be annoying at times
im leaning towards this model

P.S i play alot of older games too, e.g cs 1.6.. which means i can go well over 120fps
i have a hd 7870 so most games like bf3-bf4 stay at 55-85 fps,

I have a 270X (Rebranded overclocked 7870) so I know exactly the kind of performance you can get :)
60 fps will look like 60 fps no matter what the MAX refresh rate is, however if you push into 70 or 80 it can look smoother. The ghosting is probably what causes issues. This comes highly recommended for very low ghosting and has a 144Hz maximum refresh rate as well as anti-motion blur tech: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824014370
