Hi everyone,
I've just bought Samsung 840 Pro SSD and as you probably know, there are no cables there. As far as I'm concerned I need a SATA III 6Gbps cable. I've seen quite a lot of them and they were all cheap. Have I seen only poor quality cables or they just don't cost much? Could you, please, recommend me a top class cable, which allows to use the whole power of the SSD?

Most cables are pretty much the same inside, they just don't cost much.

Don't be fooled into buying more expensive cables that use terms like:

"Oxygen-free Copper" all copper is oxygen free, and remains so if sealed inside a wire

"Gold clad wire" while gold does conduct electricity better than copper, a layer of it that's only a micron or less thick will do nothing, especially over the lengths that SATA works on

"Double-shielded" shielding that fully covers the wire is going to provide full benefits with one layer. More layers are a waste.

Just make sure the cable is the right length, has no kinks and isn't stretched or stressed, and 98% of the time you'll be fine.
