I have been looking to buy a brand new 7970 to add to my existing one for crossfire. I need an orgional refrence design one since I am water cooling it. I found a listing on ebay that had a Diamond 7970 and said it was "New- other" and the seller said that "he had bought the card to use for a project, (which he revealed to be a mining rig), used it for a week and boxed it up again. He had never over clocked it.
I ended up buying it but when it came I was rather disappointed. There was dust in the fan and light scratches on the cooler and PCI slot. I don't really care about aesthetics as I am going to be removing he cooler anyways but I am concerned if the life of the card has been shortened.
I contacted him about this and he told me that he is sorry to hear that I am not satisfied and that I can return the card to him or keep it and he will give me a discount.
What shall I do guys??? Please help!
