Bought Three Asus vg248qe monitors, only have 1 GTX 770. Can't use 120/144hz on all monitors.

Recently bought three Asus vg248qe monitors. The two monitors that are connected via DVI can utilize 144hz.

However, the third monitor which is connected via an adapter: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812816167&cm_re=displayport_to_dvi-_-12-816-167-_-Product

Only runs at 60hz max.

It looks like the issue is that the adapter is only compatible with displayport 1.1 not 1.2. If that is the case, is a 1.2 displayport adapter all I need?

Is anyone sure that a 1.2 display port to dvi adapter (maybe active adapter) would allow me to reach 120/144hz?

I don't want to waste any more money on cables that I don't need.

Is this your monitor? Here. If so, just use a DisplayPort cable to connect the third monitor. It looks like DP to DVI adapters have limited bandwidth (even active ones), so it'd be a lot easier just to use DP to DP.
