Hi, I recently started building a gaming rig on pcpartpicker. I kind of finished it just now, so i was looking for any suggestions on the build, anything i an improve or get a better part at a better price. Since this is my first build i really dont know if i am buying the right part. My budget is 1000$. Here is my parts list.

http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/p/62Fkgs

Any little help would be great and i will appreciate it very much.
If any questions please ask me below.
Leave any suggested parts link below thanks :) .

*Update: I will be using this build to play BF4, Watch Dogs, Assassin Creed: Black Flag, and the new upcoming games on high settings which require some good computer performance.

*Update: I want it to get checked by an expert before i order the parts online. :D

I would spend just a little more and get an Intel i5 4670 processor and a 1150 socket motherboard. Since you are already spending $1,000 I would hate for you to be disappointed with that FX6300.

I'd also get the 8GB of ram in the form of 2 x 4GB sticks as opposed to 1 x 8GB stick.

Lastly, that case doesn't offer much in the way of airflow. Might I suggest this case? http://www.newegg.ca/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119233

This case with a 4 pack of cougar fans added to it is what I have and it has great airflow and everything stays very cool.

Also, as a side note, if you are going to be picking up a wireless signal that will originate from outside of the room that the pc is in, you should get some wifi antenna extender cables to raise the wifi card's antennas up by about 3 feet. I am co-owner of a wireless internet provider company and even in my house, connection performance is terrible with the back of the pc to a wall with no extenders and the wireless router in a different room.

Hmm I am definately going for that case and that 4 fan pack. But i have a question. is my GTX 760 card going to fit in that? I am just worring about it cause it shows the max lenghts of graphics card for that case on pcpartpicker, i was wondring if there are limits or it should be fine and is gonna fit prefectly.

and i have another question :), about the i5 4670, is it going to performe much better than the fx 6300? what are the disadvantages of having a 6300? cause there is a big diffrence in the money, is it going to be worth it?

I don't like the PSU. Any time you are spending ~$100 on a PSU, you should betting a Gold rated unit. $90 shipped for a bronze unit just shouldn't be happening anymore. You don't need a 650W PSU, a good gold 500W should be fine. More so if you drop down the 4670K.

I agree that when you are spending $1k on a machine you should have an Intel in there. Not sure how to bring the price back down to under $1k. The only way I really see how to do it is to get cheaper mice/keyboard/wifi. As a gaming machine it shouldn't be on wifi anyways. I bought a 50' cord to reach my jack, I suggest the same.

Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($84.11 @ DirectCanada)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($59.97 @ DirectCanada)
Video Card: MSI GeForce GTX 760 2GB TWIN FROZR Video Card ($274.98 @ Newegg Canada)

Total: $1021.85
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

Major Changes:

-CPU- i5 w/ compatible mobo, no overclocking since the CPU is locked
-RAM- 2 ram sticks let you run in dual channel mode, same price, about 12% more performance
-GPU- MSI twin frozr is a great cooler but the Asus is good too, pretty much up to you
-Case- Corsair 200R is a great case at a good price, one of my go-to cases for builds looking for an affordable & good case
-PSU- Antech HCG is made by seasonic, great quality semi modular bronze psu. More than enough to power the build.

IDK. PSU is better, though I hate spending $80CAD(?) on a bronze unit. Aren't there any ~500W Gold units for that price?

Edit: I can't remember, is the Corsair CSM any good? Here is a 450W Gold CSM for <$70

http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-power-supply-cs450m

And we all know I love the Rosewill Capstone 450. I use this to power my 7950 which uses more power then the GTX760.

http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/rosewill-power-supply-capstone450 <$80.

If you are that worried about the wattage, 550W CSM.

http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/part/corsair-power-supply-cs550m <$85

Hi there I see your looking at the fx 6300 and considering the i5 4670 let me tell you the price is a big difference and in my opinion it is not worth it and for gaming your gpu is more important than your cpu. I you can spend a few more $$$ then I would upgrade to the fx 8350 this is at 4ghz and with the right cooling can easily be overclocked to 4.5ghz some people have even got it too 5ghz! Also people will say cores don't matter but witht he 8350 you will have 4 more cores than the i5!! you will notice this in multitasking and games are beginning to take advantage of more cores so it will be more futureproof. If you cant afford the 8350 get the 6300 still miles better than the i5. Btw I own both cpu but I use the 8350 in gaming and i5 in office work.

Thank you King156, I am rebuilding whole rig again from scrach since i added a few more parts which exceeded my budget. I would def go for a amd fx. alot cheaper with a really decent performance. and you are right i am spending more on a graphics which is the most important thing. I will upload my new config link here soon. Thanks again for recomending me the amd fx :D

For gaming, the intel i5's pretty much beat out the fx series right now. It is possible that the fx 8320/8350 catch up to the i5s once more games take advantage of more than 4 cores but that is probably going to start happening a few years down the line. In terms of comparing the CPUs clock speeds are only useful for comparing between the same chips and is not a good indicator of performance.

IMO, stick with an i5 unless your budget does not allow for the price of it. Here is a list that puts CPUs in tiers, the recent i5s/i7s are the top tier with the fx series one tier below: http://www.tomshardware.com/reviews/gaming-cpu-review-overclock,3106-5.html

The one place that the fx beats the i5s is its price/performance. It gets you more bang per $ but is not as powerful.
