Unless you wanna cook something inside your PC i wouldn`t go so far to use 4 290x (and GTX780/Ti are as hot as 290x) ...

It depends because 4 r9 290X have high stock clocks but worse crossfireX capability. Whereas 2 r9 295x2s have lower stock clocks, but because two gpus are on one pcb, crossfireX will run better.

So it comes down to if you want to play at higher settings but don't care for driver issues and inconsistency. Or play at a slightly lower setting but get a lot better consistency.

Plus, 4 r920X you would probably need two PSUs, not because the psu couldn't handle it, but your house couldn't.

NCIX Tech Tips did 4 r9 290X I believe and they actually had a breaker go out from all the voltage.

Um no the 295x2 has higher stock clocks than the 290x. And 4way crossfire is pretty pointless anyway

That is until you setup everything and your room becomes permanent summer time. You could probably cook dinner with your PC too.

i don't have to setup anything! the AC runs 24/7 all days so anything else?

I'll probably blow the whole house to hell if i cook dinner
