I currently have an HP dv7t Quad Ed it has a 3rd generation i7-3610QM processor and dual GT650M graphic cards. The PC has over heated and has some other issues that they seem to be unable to fix so they are issuing a replacement. The PC they are offering is a unit that would ship with the 4th generation i7-4510U (dual core) and 4GB NVIDIA GeForce GTX 850M. Everything else is the same except for it will be running Windows 8.1.
Thanks :)

Solution
QM and MQ are the "full" mobile processors. U series are found in Ultrabooks and usually have base clocks of around 1.8 Ghz, whereas the MQ have a base clock around 2.4 Ghz (Both can boost up to around 3 Ghz when cooling allows)

Thanks for your answers!
So why are they trying their hardest to flat out lie to me? I guess I could send mine back in for repair but I just got it back. I am so upset over this You pay good money and purchase a warranty you think will help and it does not. It's still under the origional warranty and they don't make these PC's any more. Does anyone know how I could get them to listen to me and do right...instead of lying?
I am glad that you all are confirming what I already knew and confirmed by looking into benchmarks and such.

I just wanted to say that your reply also helped me so much also. It makes complete sense about a single graphics card vs dual cards.

WOAH WOAH!!!!! first of all the 850m is much better than dual 650ms aka sli 650m. It beats them in benchmarks and it only uses 45 watts vs sli 650m using 90 watts (that's why your laptop overheats). The i7 4510u will be perfectly fine for gaming. The i7-4510u gets a 4024 in passmark while the i7-3610QM gets a 7498. What this means is that only for programs like photoshop you will notice a difference in performance. What is more important is how they perform on single threads. the 4510u beats the 3610u by about 100 points. This is a more realistic show of performance in most gaming scenarios. Also the other important fact is the 4510u uses 15 watts of power while the 3610qm uses 45 watts. This is an amazing upgrade. You are pretty fortunate that have this deal worked out.

No sweat! Life goes on. Something that can help with over heating is something like this http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834992853 . check newegg they are a lot of options. With your system running cooler it should also run faster because heat is what stops hardware from using turbo
