Looking for a PC build from pcpartpicker that can run DayZ/Arma 3 on Ultra with good frames.

I've been researching and looking high and low for a PC build around 1000$ That will play games like DayZ and Arma 3 maxed. I require Win7 Home Premium SP1 but no monitors, keyboards, or a mouse. I appreciate your help.

  1. The bare minimum to meet your needs:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

    Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-H97-D3H ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($99.99 @ Amazon)
    Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1600 Memory ($72.00 @ Newegg)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($54.98 @ OutletPC)
    Video Card: Sapphire Radeon R9 290 4GB Tri-X Video Card ($369.99 @ Newegg)
Case: Corsair 300R ATX Mid Tower Case ($59.99 @ Micro Center)
Power Supply: Antec High Current Gamer 620W 80+ Bronze Certified Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply ($59.99 @ Newegg)
    Total: $901.93
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

The r9 290 is sold out at newegg at that price but you can get it for $400 (still a great deal) at amazon here: http://www.amazon.com/Sapphire-Version-PCI-Express-Graphics-11227-00-40G/dp/B00HJOXUKC/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1403727506&sr=8-1&keywords=sapphire+tri-x+r9+290

This is what I would do for 1k but has lots of mail in rebates and a $20 gift card to newegg (purchase price around $1.1k USD)

The Xeon processor is basically an i5 with hyperthreading and no integrated GPU. The case is sweet for the price ($20 Mail in rebate, $20 gift card). An SSD will help with boot up of the OS and various programs.
