Greetings,

I've been periodically getting Blue Screens since I installed my r9 280x, also BF4 was crashing. (No other game does that. Two times it crashed and my computer rebooted.)

What's this sound like?

I've got thee minidump files, how do I give them to you guys so you can look at them?

Thanks

Dead link,
Thanks though.

ATIKMDAG.SYS is causing the BSODs.

The two I had during BF4 as expected were due to Direct X. Which in turn is due to graphics malfunction.

Would that be due to the card, or the drivers?

I know that AMD's 14.x.x drivers have been plagued by issues.

I have also deduced that others are having this issue due to Motherboard voltage issues. Dunno about that.

Any additional input is greatly valued.

[Edit ~20] @ Mods, I am not dual threading. The other thread was exclusively pertaining to BF4, this is more open. I've closed it.

[Edit ~21] Trying this solution.

2nd.
Follow every step :
Step 1: Download and install the latest ati graphic driver.AND DONT TURN OFF OR RESTART YOUR COMPUTER AFTER INSTALLATION

Step 2: Then go to C:\Windows\System32\Drivers and rename atikmdag.sys to atikmdag.sys.old.

Step 3: Go to ati directory (usually in C:\ATI) and find the file atikmdag.sy_.

Step 4: Copy the file to your Desktop directory.

Step 5: Open cmd.exe by going to Start -> type cmd in the search box and hit enter.

Step 6: Change the directory to Desktop by typing chdir Desktop.

Step 7: Then, type EXPAND.EXE atikmdag.sy_ atikmdag.sys. Or,

expand -r atikmdag.sy_ atikmdag.sys

Step 8: When the expansion is complete, copy the new atikmdag.sys from your Desktop to

C:\Windows\System32\Drivers

Step 9: Restart your computer and the problem should be resolved.

Its not faulty mb or card problem! The drivers is the main culprit here!

Once again, additional input appreciated.

[Edit]

Broken record, but input appreciated still.
