I created the homegroup for our family on my laptop, which subsequently crashed, and had to be reset to factory settings. I kept the same name for the laptop. My laptop asks if I want to join a homegroup, and tells me to get the password from USER (me) on COMPUTER (my laptop). When I type in the password, it tells me I cannot join the homegroup. I am not a techie, so I don't know what to do. I went to Microsoft and downloaded the Fixit for homegroup, but when I went to install it, it said that it had expired and to go search for a newer one, which I could not find.
