So latley my computer keeps freezing, and when it freezes a buzzing noise will play through the speakers/headphones im using. Only way to get it back to normal seems to be jsut to hold the power button down and re boot. I checked windows event viewer and at the times it froze it says kernel-power event id 41.

Specs:
gtx780
intel 4770k
asus maximus vi hero mb
corsair hx750 psu
16gb of g.skill trident ram
250gb samsung 840evo
older seagate 2tb barcudda hdd

Solution
Change the 'Put the Computer to Sleep' to 'Never'

I had the same issue and that was the only way to solve it.

I don't have any tool that would allow me to measure the voltage. Everything is still under warranty so maybe I should try sending parts back for new ones?

The buzzing sound is normal when it freezes. Troubleshoot it like it is a problematic new build unless if it is easier for you to just send stuff back. For me, shipping adds up but it is up to you.

I use

HWMonitor (for general information): - the voltages are not accurate though

download: http://www.cpuid.com/downloads/hwmonitor/1.25.zip

CPU-Z (for multiplier double check and RAM information):

GPU-Z (for graphics card load, voltage and temperature)

I mainly monitor everything to see if there is a need to downclock anything from stock speed due to higher summer temperatures.

I am obsessive about reinstalling the operating system whenever I have issues. I had the hibernation issue after reinstall to solve other issues and after changing 'put the computer to sleep' to 'never', everything was good again.
