which configuation is cheaper?

i am looking to buy a lenovo z510. i have found a 4gb version for £500 and a 8gb version for £600. i really want a 8gb ram so do you thinks it cheaper buying the 4gb version and upgrade the ram manually or shall i just buy the 8gb version. and also, if i pick the 4gb version which ram is recommended to buy to upgrade to 8gb.thanks

Upgrading the DRAM by adding a 4GB stick might not be compatible (DRAM wise) so it's taking a chance, and to get to 8GB might end up needing to get a full 8GB set, laptops generally don't allow manipulation of the DRAM timings or voltages that might need to be adjusted to get sticks to play together
