Did you uninstall any previous AMD drivers beforehand first?

thats just it when i went to the installshield i did 'uninstall manager" and what it says it does is"Chose individual AMD software components to uninstall." and then it searches for any AMD software and finds nothing, I dont even remember deleting any AMD stuff.

Use this Display Driver Uninstaller to clean uninstall drivers:

I have an HP Media Center and my ATI Catalyst control center would not open after a "MICROSOFT UPDATE" for my OEM ATI Radeon X1300 graphics card and the ati2dvag.dll would crash my PC and I would get the "BLUE SCREEN OF DEATH".
After weeks of researching this problem I came across this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DXs3DHdbTUg After I had downloaded and saved the updated driver from HP for my particular machine configuration, I installed CCleaner Free version from https://www.piriform.com/ccleaner/download/standard and Driver Sweeper from http://www.techspot.com/downloads/4266-driver-sweeper.h... I followed the video and then reinstalled the HP driver for my ATI card. After reboot I received the error message "You do not have permission to change CATALYST control center settings..." I clicked on START Programs and Selected the CCC Wizard and my COMODO Internet Security shot me an Isolate Flag, So make sure YOUR Internet Security is not BLOCKING CCC. I clicked Don't Isolate Again reselected the CCC Wizard and WHAM everything now works just fine and with the new updated driver from HP. YEAH:bounce:  It took a complete uninstall and clean up of everything ATI and AMD and a fresh driver install to accomplish this. Be patient friends this is solvable, eventually.:heink:  P.S. Microsoft Graphics Drivers are BUNK:fou:
