As of now I currently have a Dell Studio XPS 435MT with the Intel core I7 920 @2.67 ghz, 6gb's of 1333mhz ddr2 RAM ( I think ), an NVidia GT 220, and I just swapped the stock 360 watt PSU with a Corsair 500w. What graphics card should I upgrade to for better visuals in gaming like Flight Simulator, BF, and COD but at the same time not burn everything up?

Solution
Since your psu quite outdated and it's only 360 watts, it's nothing a 750 or 750 Ti can't fix. WAIT, scratch that, since you upgraded the 360w PSU to a reliable Corsair one, anything up to a R9 270 or (maybe) a GTX 760 will be fine.

I could give you a much more personalized answer if you tell me what your budget is.

Hope I helped!

Yeah but a 780 would be pushing it, especially since he only has DDR2 memory. Like i corrected myself, a GTX 760 or something like an R9 270 or 270X would be okay.
