Will be installing my kraken with push/pull configuration (4 fans) into my NZXT Phantom 820. Mobo is AsRock OC Formula a/c.

Anyone have an idea what would be the best way to hook up the fans? Here are my thoughts below:

1. use 2 pwm y splitters ( 1 to 2 Fans) and connect each pwm y splitter to the 2 cpu fan connections on the mobo this will only give me total of 2 rpm feedback instead of 4

2. Or connect them to the fan controller (3 pin) with a converter 4 pin to 3 pin for the 4 fans on the cooler

Would like to have rpm feedback on all 4 but also fan control according to my CPU temps since that its what its suppose to keep cool. Also still need to explore the kraken software control

Any ideas or thoughts?

Solution
It would only detect the RPM of the pump motor.

The other four fans RPM should be detected in the software provided with the cooler.

Yes, that can also be done in the software.

oh so it comes with the 2 splitters for push pull? So the 4 fans connect to the pump and the pump has one connection to the cpu fan connector? Is that correct

Yes sir. It would be silly for them to not provide that with there device! The pump runs at a static RPM. It connects to the motherboard and a molex plug on the power supply. The motherboard port allows you to track the RPM. The molex plug provides more than enough power for all of the fans to spin at their optimal RPM.

Im assuming the motherboard port only sees one fan for RPM not 4 correct? Also will i be able to have the fans be controlled by the CPU temps or do they just go by the case temp?

Wow so simple, here i was over thinking this, thought i had to have a fancy connection. So to recap our discussion.

1. All 4 fans will connect to the pump with included pwm y splitter connectors
2. Take pump connection to the motherboard CPU fan slot, and pump molex connector to the PSU
3. Via kraken software I can make the fans be controlled by the CPU temps
