Looking for help with my 1st build. Please check for any overkill, problems, etc.
Notes:
1. I don't plan on overclocking
2. I can use an external optical drive if I use this case.
3. I am willing to change the case
Questions:
1. Will crossfire work well with this motherboard?
2. What is a good wattage for my power supply?
3. Are there any cases that you would recommend with this build (I would like something attractive, but I'm not too picky)

Here is the build, any revisions or recommendations are appreciated.

Solution
There could be a potential problem with your build . The motherboards BIOS may not support the later model processor without an update .
Normally you dont need a Z series mb if you are not overclocking , but it is the only way to get proper crossfire support
[ other boards like H97 can work a kind of hybrid crossfire called crossfireX but this is not as good ]

I wouldn't go with CF 270's mainly because the 2gb Vram will start to hold you back compared to the graphical power that the 2 cards would output. I would do something like this:

PCPartPicker part list / Price breakdown by merchant

CPU: Intel Core i5-4460 3.2GHz Quad-Core Processor ($184.99 @ NCIX US)
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z97X-SLI ATX LGA1150 Motherboard ($118.99 @ Amazon)
Memory: G.Skill Ares Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory ($81.99 @ Newegg)
Storage: Crucial MX100 128GB 2.5" Solid State Drive ($76.24 @ Amazon)
Storage: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive ($54.98 @ OutletPC)
Video Card: XFX Radeon R9 280X 3GB Double Dissipation Video Card ($249.99 @ Newegg)
Case: NZXT H440 (Red/Black) ATX Mid Tower Case ($109.99 @ Newegg)
Power Supply: EVGA 850W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply ($109.99 @ NCIX US)
Total: $987.16
Prices include shipping, taxes, and discounts when available

The r9 270 CF will beat out the r9 280x in benchmarks but this build would let you CF a r9 280x into the build in the future. Just another option to consider. Also, I am not a fan of the Corsair Cx series especially for high power consumption (like CF) since they use cheap secondary capacitors and I have seen people have problems with them on these forums before.
