Need help with monitor and desktop

Hello everyone I have finally built my super awesome gaming pc I love it! but when I try to connect it to my monitor it says no signal but that monitor worked on my other computer....

-PS I have been playing on my hd tv 1080x720

So from what I understand, the computer works on your TV but not the monitor?

I would suggest changing the monitor input and make sure that it is on the correct input. HDMI/DVI/VGA for example. It is similar to the input on your TV. It should be "input" or "source" on your monitor.
