I'm not sure where my other thread went, so feel free to direct me there or close whichever thread isn't "active"

I'd like to know the model of this CPU cooler as well as how to remove it.
Here are some pictures of the cooler

If there is anything extra you need, let me know
Thanks for your help : )

Try one more time with pretty much a lot of force (lol)... this is what I had to do to remove my processor at one point.

Thanks for sourcing--I tried removing the fan and pressing down on the bar, but I can't seem to get the heatsink off--any ideas?

From the photos it looks like you just push the clips in at the side and it'll release the cooler. If the thermal paste it old, it might be sticking the cooler down a bit. I imagine there's a clip each side. So just push both of them in and wiggle the cooler then pull. Not too hard though.

I've tried pushing on the clips and the middle bar, but I can't get it loose. For a similar heat sink in an earlier post it was almost the same type, but I had to press extremely hard. My strength is pretty average, but I can't seem to get either side off.

I ended up using some clamps and prying it off--nothing broke, but that was way too much effort to remove the heat sink...

Thanks guys/girls

Sometimes the thermal paste can really hold on. I removed a heat sink from my CPU the other day to replace it with a water block and had to double check to make sure all the screws were out because of the force I had to use.
