Farcry 3 Frame rate issues

I've got 2 R9 290 Vapor-Xs (Top Tier Cards) and I'm having issues running Farcry 3 on Ultra at 1440p it goes from smooth to ultra choppy in like 10 to 15 seconds then bounces back and forth from there. It's installed on an SSD as well. FX8350(H100i cooled) and 16GB 1600mhz Vengeance.

What do?

How much is the FX-8350 overclocked? Far Cry 3 prefers Intel CPUs, and 4 of your cores are unused. You'll need to get it overclocked pretty high to overcome that bottleneck. I'm obviously not sure it's the issue, but at a glance it's the most likely culprit.

It's at a 4.6ghz stable overclock under an H100i so it's OCed moderately. the GPUs don't overheat they're under 70C at 90% of the time and I'm not sure, but I think there is something funky going on with my drivers I'm using windows 8.1 and it's weird with drivers for some reason...
