Hi, I've encountered a real problem with my audio for my Gigabyte motherboard and have exhausted all of my options so far, so I decided to just ask. Here's my problem:

When I first got this comptuer from a friend, everything worked perfectly. Audio, graphics, everything was fine. However, the Windows itself was severely bloated, so I decided to re-install the OS, as well as de-fragment the hard drive afterwards. Afterwards, I re-installed all the basic drivers, but now my audio doesn't work. It used to not output anything at all, but after fiddling with the Realtek settings, I'm getting an ear-wrenching, high-pitched static noise out of the right ear of my headphones. No other sound comes through, even thought the audio device in Playback Device menu is registering sound coming through. I've tried changing every single option there is on this computer regarding anything to do with audio, as well as re-installing audio and motherboard drivers several times, but I still can't get the audio to work. I'm debating just buying a pair of plain old USB headsets, because the problem seems to be stemming from the audio jacks on the motherboard. The USB ports work just fine.

I'll try anything before spending money on a new pair of headphones, so I'd really like some help. Is it my motherboard that's screwed up, or something to do with the software. Just to note, these headphones DO work, as I've tried them with other computers and they work just fine.

System Specs:
Gigabyte GA-B75M-HD3
Realtek Audio
Intel i5-2400
8GB RAM
Turtle Beaches X11 (USB, Green/Pink 3.5mm jacks plugged into BACK PANEL)

Just ask if you need to know anything else.
