is it bad to keep my laptop on for lets say 3 to 4 days?

i am not using it for anything except downloading. sometimes i start playing games, but usually i keep it on only for it to download. will it do anything to my laptop? and btw, it stays on ALL the time during this period but it doesnt get hot, it stays warm a little and i'm not using a cooler
