BIOS Detects Hard-Drive, but not my Windows 7 Installation - Unless my secondary hard-drive is plugged in.... VERY STRANGE

Basically, I'm trying to take out my secondary hard drive, and put it in my laptop.
And after I remove my 2nd hard drive, my bios sees my primary hard drive, but it doesn't detect a Windows installation and goes straight to network booting (pxe.)
(And yes, my primary has a Windows installation.)

Here's what I did:
Before removing my 2nd hard drive, I formatted it first on my computer. I don't know why I did that, since Windows installation allows you to format it. -_-

So turned off my computer, removed the power cord, and pressed the power button to discharge the motherboard. Then proceeded to place the 2nd hard drive in the laptop and installed Windows 7 without a hitch.

But when I went to turn my main computer on... That's when I ran into some trouble.

It wouldn't stop booting to network, no matter what I did. Changed priorities, switched Sata ports, I even tried reinstalling Windows on my primary. (It booted straight to pxe when I tried the Windows CD.)

But guess what? I removed my 2nd hard drive from the laptop, placed it back in my primary. And behold, I'm now posting this from my main computer. I had to select the 2nd installation of Windows when it boots up, but hey it's working.

This whole thing doesn't make ANY sense to me, at all. This would make sense if my 2nd hard drive had my original Windows, but I formatted this sucker while still using my computer.

Can't explain this s#!t.
I'll be bookmarking this and I'll check back tomorrow. I'll also be putting Windows 7 on USB and see if that works. Once I put Windows 7 on a USB, I'll be fixing my MBR to see if that does anything.)

I would really prefer it if I didn't have to reformat my primary. It's a terabyte with a lot of data on it. lol

Thanks in advance for the help. <3

HI,

Sounds like your MBR has been copied to the 2nd disc or something.
Try running a repair with the windows CD.
A clean install with only the main disk connected to the computer usually fixes this problem but by the text i belieave that you have tried that already.

Try the windows repair to start with and then try switching sata ports and do a clean install or similar.
