Not POSTING - 6 beeps msi a88xm e35 & AMD A6 APU

Just doing a new new build but not Posting just blank screen and 6 beeps with an amd a6 cpu and blasstix sport 1866 ram. Any ideas?

If there were two sticks of RAM installed, try starting it up with only one stick in. BIOS probably needed resetting I guess, with your 1600MHz RAM installed, reset the BIOS and try again with the 1866MHz stick. If not, it either doesn't support 1866MHz RAM or the sticks were DOA. I have the same board and are running with 1600MHz sticks

OK, so took the Crucial Ballistix Sport XT 1866 CL10 and swapped it for a stick of GSKILL 4gb 1600 CL9 RAM, and it worked....so Why ? Any one give me some help please?

I thought the a6 APU´s benifitted from 1866 ram...and the a88xm35 msi motherboard should support it right?

I think its faulty ram as the board supports upto 2400mhz ram, I only bought x1 4gb stick as its just for a low cost build for surfing, word and emails. Sent it back to amazon and ordered more g skill ram instead 2100 mhz, I think its a better quality make.
