Hello . I want to get a soundcard that supports dolby digital live for my astro a50 headphones. My motherboard is gigabyte h67-ma-usb-b3 ( http://www.gigabyte.com/products/product-page.aspx?pid=... ): . Im pretty sure it only supports pci-e . The only compatible sound card i have seen is this : http://www.asus.com/Sound_Cards_and_DigitaltoAnalog_Con...

Asus Xonar DX . Will it work on my motherboard ? Would you reccomend any other soundcard that costs about the same or less ?

Hi sizon199
The Asus Xonar DX will work with your motherboard and is a quality sound card
if you are worried xonar and creative xfi also make external sound cards

my bad is 5.1

Wow! This one is actually cheaper than the DX. Actually optical cables only transfer to 5.1 right ? A guy in the astro forums told me that there is generaly no difference between 5.1 and 7.1 when you use optical. The mixamp it self upscales it to 7.1 though.
