I recently bought HP Pavilion 15-n208TX laptop.

It came with 4 gb of RAM but I want to upgrade it to 8 gb RAM for playing games like WatchDogs and COD Ghosts for which the recommended RAM is 8gb.

The laptop uses a Samsung 4 gb ddr3 1600 Mhz RAM. However I am not able to find the same RAM stick where I live.

So my question is whether any RAM stick from another manufacturer like Corsair having 4 gb ddr3 1600 Mhz would be fine or not.

Also pls suggest some good RAM sticks.
Use flipkart.com or theitdepot.com for browsing the RAM sticks.

Also what is CAS Latency? I cannot find the CAS Latency of RAM installed in my laptop. Do the CAS Latency of the new RAM should be similar to that of the pre-installed RAM.

Any help would be appreciated!

You should be OK with another manufacturer's ram to double to 8GB. Corsair, Crucial, G.Skill are all good manufacturers of RAM imo, and if you download CPU-Z from www.cpuid.com there will be a memory tab in that program which will give the specs of your currently installed ram, as an alternative you can go to www.crucial.com and use their memory adviser feature to get information on your current setup and also recommendations on RAM memory.

As fricklesmn said, another brand of ram will work fine, just get the same speed (1600MHz).

Watch Dogs probably won't run very well on your laptop, the 740M will struggle a bit. If i turn the resolution to 1366x768 on my laptop, which has a 745M, i can manage about 40 FPS maximum on low. Its not enjoyable though.
