Computer crashing with new motherboard

Hello,

I've recently purchased a second hand motherboard, mainly because my old one could not take a powerful graphics card. My old motherboard it has been under powering my graphics card causing it to malfunction therefore I won't be getting my graphics card replacement back till next month most likely.

Now with the new motherboard I have been given a graphics card that is significantly weaker to my stronger one, but it is still decent enough to play games. Now the main problem is, is that every time I play games, at least 20-30 minutes later my computer crashes. I honestly don't know why and my computer specs are well beyond the recommended requirements to the games I like to play. I.e. Team Fortress 2.

Is there anything I could do to stop this crashing from happening? Any advise/suggestions would be great. Please note I am not a computer wiz so I cannot understand very sophisticated instructions.

FYI: My new motherboard does NOT have any POST beeps, and when the computer crashes, no BSoD screen comes up and the computer just switches off itself.

~Thanks~

Since this happens after 20 mins or so, I'd first look at overheating as the culprit. A can of compressed air and some properly applied thermal paste can sometimes work wonders.
