Graphics card not being reconized

Okay, so I have a GA-EG31M-S2 gigabyte mobo and I'm trying to put in a GTX 650 2gb and It's not being recognized. I have a 8500 GT 512 originally and it's being recognized. I do have a 420 psu. Reqs. say I need at least a 400 psu. I checked bios and the PCI is enabled. I would think that it would at least be recognized when booting up. Even when I put in the install disk, it says that it does not see the vid card.

Thank you good sir. I'm not sure if it's a 1.0 or a 2.0. I guess I will keep the 650 when I build my new computer. Was just seeing if I could use the card in the meantime. Thanks again.
