I had to re-install Vista on my Toshiba Satellite PC and now I can connect to the Internet but can no longer connect to my HP Pavilion pc, via the wireless network, that is running Windows 8.1.
My network discovery is turned on and I can see the HP connection to the network and the network adapters are up to date but when I try to connect to the pc I get the error message 0x80070035 (network connection not found). The workgroup name for both PCs is the same.

Do you have any firewall or other antivirus/protective softwares installed?

Try disabling theese if so is the case and try again.

I disabled the firewall on both PCs (ZoneAlarm Firewall) and when I tried to connect to the computers I was now prompted for a username and password. After entering the Userid and password I got a message that the computers could not be a accessed.
