What does it mean when ram is "highly overclockable"?

Looking at different ram for my build, probably getting 2x4gb sticks of corsair vengeance ram, but I saw this phrase pop up more than once. What does it mean? Is it the speed?

It means that the RAM is advertised to be very stable and hence very good for overclocking it. If you're not into overclocking, it doesn't really benefit you at all.

Overclocking RAM refers to increasing its clock frequency beyond the factory default. For instance, setting the frequency from 1600 MHz (DDR3-1600) up to 1866 MHz or higher.

Yes, basically, it is speed. Whether it actually makes the RAM noticeably "faster," though, is a lot less clear sometimes.

Side note: Is this really a question for the Graphics & Display forum? :p
