Alienware wont connect to wifi but will through ethernet

Sounds like your wireless is either removed or that you have some malware hiding it (wich sounds wierd).
To start with, Right click on Computer->manage-> device manager - can you find any yellow exclamation marks here ?
If not, try downloading Malwarebytes and use it to search for malicious softwares on your computer.

If you got the drivers DVD with system reinstall the wireless card drivers. If you don't have the drivers dvd then go to Alienware site and download. Make sure you get the right drivers Alienware has used 3 Wireless drivers for the Alienware 18 so they might have done the same for all Alienwares.
