I had a D-Link DIR-605L that was very inconsistent and has recently stopped working so i'm now looking for a new router. I don't need the new one until the end of August so I have time to wait for things to go on sale.

I would ideally like something that is $50-&60, but i'll take recommendations that are a bit pricier as i can wait for sales or if there is a good justification for it.

The routers I've been considering are n600 routers as i feel a solid n600 router fills my needs for my apartment. dd-wrt is also something I've seen mentioned and it looks intriguing so if the routers are dd-wrt compatible that would be cool too. Note I haven't checked yet if any of the one's below are.

A few I have been considering are:
-Asus RT-N56U $80 (if on sale)
-Linksys E3200
-Netgear WNDR3800
-TP-Link TL-WDR3600

The netgear and the tp link are currently available in my price range so especial interested in what you think of them.

Lastly, the most important aspect i'm looking for in the router is reliability. I want as little down time as possible after I get it set up and tweaked. Also, leery of D-link after my last router so I would like to avoid them this time around.

Thanks in advance!

Have not used the other ones.. Considered using a high end Netgear, but I ended up going with the ASUS you mentioned. I've had it since about November, and have had 0 issues with the router. Consistent and stable connection, no dropping whatsoever (had one issue earlier this year, but it was because my area had a rolling outage, ISP's issue, not the router).
