Simple Question : about cpu bottleneck

while using msi afterburner playing bf4

i noticed gpu load is 100%
and my cpu load is around 50-70%

do i need to change my mobo/processor

i do have 2310 i5
r9 290 tri x

It may definitely help. What's your budget? Almost any Intel Core i5 processor using LGA 1155 sockets should be compatible, but you may have to check/upgrade the BIOS on the motherboard.

less than 250 usd i guess thats for mobo and procie

i already flashed my motherboard to a newer bios about an hour ago

Why upgrade the processor if the GPU is the device hitting the wall at 100% usage?

Oh Duh! *facepalm* You're right. I read that very badly. and it's so obvious I guess I must have overlooked it.

Absolutely. If the GPU is at 100%, upgrading the processor will have no effect.

Well, upgrading the processor will have some effect, but not so much within the GPU limited game to make it a worthwhile investment. Changing graphics settings to give the GPU a bit more breathing room may make more sense and allow the CPU to be better utilized.
