Solution USAFRet Jun 26, 2014 explosivepastry : If my hard drive has bad sectors can i still clone it to a new one? That is a definite 'maybe'. Try it. If it doesn't work, you still have a blank new drive, and a semi-broken old drive.

Most cloning software will retry bad sectors many times getting a good read. And if not it will usually just zero that sector Upvote 0 Downvote
