I need to know if I upgrade my grapics card from gtx 650ti to something like the 760ti what could I use the old one for because I don't what to get rid of it.

Specs
AMD a6 3600
1tb WD hard drive
520watt Power supply
Gtx 650ti
12gb ram

Also would it be of benefit to upgrade anything else on pc for gaming because that's what I use it for. Also I play games at 1600x900
And for money under $400
Thanks for help:)

With that 520W PSU, you won't be able to use more than one card. And you don't state what motherboard you have.

You could do what I always do. Put it in a box, and put it on a shelf. Then in 5 years, you'll wonder why you kept it, but it will be much easier to get rid of. Or you could just sell it now, and use it for the next upgrade.

You could use it for a dedicated PhysX card, which will boost your performance, but only in GPU-accelerated PhysX games.

Unless you have another system that needs a gfx card, nothing. That Acer motherboard won't accept a 2nd card. Keep it for a spare?

You could use it for Phys-X.

He can't use it for PhysX with his MB. It only has one PCIe x16 slot.

You guys should listen to cluthc, he's got the answer down to a tee. With his PSU/Mobo, he can't use it in conjunction with another card.

Do like I said earlier. Put it in a box, and keep it as a spare. You'll forget about it, but when you find it in 5 years, it will be easy to get rid of.

Upgrading, building new is always a good idea if funds permit. But to do so just to use an old GTX 650 Ti as a PhysX card is kinda foolish IMO. And it will only work in SLI with another GTX 650 Ti of similar specs.
