Hey guys,

I have today for the 1st time all day been building my 1st ever pc build. I have all companants and finally after a bit of trial and error managed to get everything cabled up correctly.

The pc boots up, and its very quiet. I like this. The monitor turns on, (green power light) but nothing is displaying!

WHY?

I have no idea what is wrong.

-Corsair 500w bronze 80 power supply

-Mobo Gigabyte 970A-DS3P

-Cpu AMD FX6300 plus stock cooler

-GPU - Msi r9 270 OC edition (very big graphics card lol)

-RAM G-Skill 8GB Ripjaws X DDR3 2133 Dual Kit - Red

I have played both ram sticks into the black ram slots. Because it says in the instruction book that to get duel chanel ram I should use the same color?

Even tho, its black then grey, black then grey color on the ram sticks??

Thanks. The solution was the monitor.

Apprently, with my current (old) monitor using a dvi to vga cable that came with the gpu it wouldn't
reconizse my display.

I tried with a newer flat screen monitor I borrowed, and its now showing the bios screen :)

Thanks guys, my 1st ever custom built rig is up and running.
