Hi guys,

I have two questions/problems, let's get right into it.

So I've just built a new PC with a case that has an USB 3.0 port in the front panel, however my motherboard doesn't support the cable that comes from that USB 3.0 port. So I was wondering if there's a cable that converts that USB 3.0 motherboard cable to a SATA cable.

The second problem is that the USB 3.0 ports on the back of my motherboard aren't working, I've enabled them in the BIOS. How do I get them to work? I guess it has something to do with the drivers but I can't seem to find them.

Specs:

MB: ASRock 990FX Extreme3
CPU: AMD FX6300
GPU: MSI R9 280X
Case: Cooler Master N300
OS: Windows 7 Ultimate

Best regards,
Thomas

Solution
You can USB3 to USB2 and thats it, there are cables available to do that. You may need to install the drivers for your USB3 ports to work, you should be able to get them from the motherboard's manufacturers website or on the installation disk.
