ATI 7850 locked oc issues

So i have a 7850 card paired with an oced i5 3570k @ 4.4 8 gigs 1600 ram etc

iv been using MSI afterburner for awhile but have been stuck at 1050 core for whatever rediculous reason. I want MMMOOOOAR. so i tried asus tweak, which again lamely c-blocked my attempts at 1050! Finally i downloaded trixx. YAY! no invisible barrier, lets try a modest 1100 core.

.........run heaven benchmark......bsod :(

restart, try again, same thing. surely this card can do a measly 1100 core? what is going on?

Standard core of 860mhz? Did you try bumping the GPU voltage up? 1.2v should be safe. Obviously, mileage varies when it comes to overclocking.

well im already getting 1050 with afterburner.

anyway i tried 1100 and 1.2 with trixx and fired up warthunder, 10 min in i got a grey screen crash, hard restart. perhaps the card just cant do ocling

could it be im short on power? i only have a 500w psu and i have my cpu oced to 4.4 atm

Yeah in the ccc i have that card in my htpc, i noticed the core oc was stable at 1040-1050 and then 20% voltage, the memory though if i went any higher than + it would crash randomly. But if I only had the memory oc it would be stable, core + memory it wouldn`t.
