I started a gaming channel. i render a video that was normally small but then increased after it was rendered

the original file was about 2GB and after rendering on Sony Vegas pro 13 it went up to 5.5gb. dont know what i am doing wrong. as i said i just started, so i don't know much about editing. anyways didn't know where to put this thread.

Did you add any effects or transitions or anything else to the video? What export settings did you use? What was the original file format and what did you render the video as?

I just added a 10 second intro, and it was originally in mp4. now it is in mxf.

Not quite sure why it is outputting the video as .mxf. That, from what I have read, can be a difficult format to work with. You may find the link below useful for determining the best render settings for a video you intend to upload to YouTube.
