I'm currently running Tiger 10.4.11 on my 2007 Macbook2,1. I have the install discs for Leopard 10.5.4, but when I run it, it restarts, prompts a language (choose english), appears to begin the install, then an error message comes up, saying, "this cannot be installed on this computer."

Is the reason that I should be installing Leopard 10.5 the first version before jumping to 10.5.4? According to specs, I should be able to install up to Lion on this bad boy...

Processor: 2.16 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo
Memory: 1 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM

Thanks and hope I wasn't too annoying!

Is this a boxed, retail version of OS X? Disks that you can buy at knock-down prices on eBay are normally specific to a particular model.
