HDD unusable please help!

OK i just build my first gaming PC today. I put in an SSD and an HHD. I booted up windows 7 and my drivers then installed steam. I went to download a game but there was no HHD. I went to creat and format hard disk partitions and saw that it was connected but it was unallocated. WTF does that mean? please help

Right click on My Computer Icon on desktop. Click at Manage. Then click at Disk Management. You'll see your HDD, apparently un-formated and un-allocated there. Right click on the HDD. Make it active and start making volumes/partitions. Once finished, restart your windows though not necessary. Your HDD will be available.

Ok when i right click it it says properties i went to properties and looked around in there because i could not find the activate button. Im sorry this is my first pc.

Oh wait are you saying to convert it into a dynamic disk?

Just create partitions and you'll have it.
