I don't know when the problem started to occur exactly or what it is that I did to make it this way, but the problem has to do with CCC( Catalyst Control Center) it is not running in my system tray nor in my processes, I have tried uninstalling it and using a driver wiper in safe mode just in case. Nothing has seemed to work. Has anyone been getting this problem?

I'm using an AMD Radeon 6950 Dual dissipation cooling fan XFX series.

OK so there's no malfunction then.

Checkdisk run OK? Is your hard drive OK?

Did CCC work OK?

Was the problem it just wasn't in your system tray? Did you set it to start with Windows?

If it wasn't running it wouldn't show up in Task manager.

This may sound ignorant but how do I go about running a check disk?

I ran the utility, and it started after restart to a black screen with white lettering, as it would normally for a check disk but after a few seconds it started to load the os and booted up as normal, I'm not to sure the check disk did anything.
Now when I try and load CCC it comes up with some type of error, "Do you want CCC to make changes to something or something."

I did a schedule dick check again and its running it now, so I'll see if that fixes the problem afterwards.

It did nothing, I'm doing an uninstall of catalyst for the fourth time but this time it gives me an error when I try going through uninstall program, "Error opening installation log file. Verify that the specified log file location exists and is writable".

Where are you putting CCC? What drive? What folder? Is your drive full?
