GTX 770 2GB vs GTX 780 3GB?

When I asked for a nice computer build, someone recommended a GTX 770 2GB, where as the other one recommended a GTX 780 3GB.

Which one is better, and by how much? I'm pretty sure the GTX 780 is better, but how much better is it? Like what frames per second increase would you say for ultra on Battlefield 4 or Watch Dogs? I think benchmarks is the term.

If you want the best performance for your money, get a R9 290 or R9 290X. The R9 290 has performance on par with the 780, but much cheaper. The R9 290X is more powerful than the 780 at a similar price tag to it. Just be sure not to buy either of them with a reference design cooler.
