I am looking at upgrading my gaming pc's graphics card from a Nvidia gt 610 to a Nvidia gtx 750 ti.
My specs are:
AMD Fx-4130 quad-core processor
8GB RAM
M5 A78L-M motherboard
240V power supply
And if for some reason it makes much of a difference, i will be upgrading from windows 7 to windows 8.1 aswell as the graphics card upgrade. What id like to know is what's a good power supply to upgrade too for under $100. If there are any other upgrades that you would recommend, that would be helpful too. Thank you in advance

Yeah, go to a Corsair CX 500W psu, they are great and really cheap.

I highly recommend getting a new cpu instead of the OS. getting both gtx 750 ti and a lets say FX-8320 will significantly boost your performance.

Is this an OEM system? (i.e.Dell, HP) If so, what model? I ask because if it's a slimline model, it will have a different kind of PSU from the standard ATX. If it's a standard ATX, there are several options for a good PSU. www.newegg.com will have several, but make sure it is at least 80+ Bronze certified and made by Antec, XFX or Corsair, as they tend to have really good quality. ~400w should suffice.

As for Windows 7 or 8, it wont matter. Except for Windows 8.1 starting a little faster, the overall performance is the same.
