Ok, this is a weird one.

Firstus: I have an Alienware 14 laptop that came standard with a 700-ish GB HDD.

I bought a 250GB Samsung 840 EVO mSATA SSD and installed it.

I shrunk and moved the entire partition from the HDD to the SSD.

HDD (Disk0) is now my storage drive and SSD (Disk1) is my OS drive.

Been using it like this for months without issue. Today I go to boot my laptop and it keeps getting stuck on the "Windows Starting" screen. Finally I just leave it on the windows starting screen and walk away. I come back something like half an hour later and it's running Chkdsk and keeps saying "File segment is Unreadable" all over the place.

Long story short it finally finishes checking and boots into windows. Of course, Intel RST is telling me that I've had a SMART event and my disk is at risk. Here's the kicker though, the drive that's at risk is the HDD and the SSD is fine!

What the devil is going on?!
