My current PSU isn't modular and only has one cord for the graphics card. I'm wanting to go crossfire, is there any way to get more cords? Obviously i can't get any more from the PSU but can i connect my single pci-e graphics cord to an adaptor that gives off two cords or something? Or will i just have to buy a modular PSU.

Thanks.

"Modular" just means that the cables plug in and out from the power supply instead of being permanently connected. They make 4pin to 6pin adapters, but there's probably a good reason your power supply only has one 6pin. It probably isn't powerful enough for a highen card needing 2 6pin connectors or two cards.

Nope, it's 750w. I am expecting to have to buy an 850 but i want to test first to make sure i didn't waste 200 bucks.

Yea you're probably right. I just want to test it first before spending 200 bucks.

What brand and model? I can't imagine any legitimate 750w coming with only 1 pci-e connector.

It's from a pretty unknown company lol, can't remember the name but it is not from a large company. I got it pre-built so what can you expect i suppose. It runs my OC'd 280x fine that's all i know lol.

Edit: "Gh power supply". Does it sound like i should just buy a corsair 850w or something along those lines if i'm wanting to crossfire?
