Hi,

I am building a new system to smoothly run CAD and other high-end softwares (Rendering etc) along with some games.

The config i have decided is :
1. Processor - AMD fx-8350
2. Mobo - Asus M5A97 R2.0/EVO R2.0
3. Cabinet - Cooler Master N200 Advanced/Antec x1.
4. HDD - WD Caviar Green (2TB).

I need some suggestions/improvements on the above config (Anything which you feel I may be doing wrong/ can improve). If you feel its perfect then well and good.

And, also..I need some help with what kinda RAM i should go for. Like how much GB/Brand etc as i am badly confused on that.

Thanks a lot.

Solution
8gb should suffice.

The M5A97 boards do not have onboard graphics.
The GTX 650ti is a good budget card. If your budget is lower, you can opt for the HD7770/R7 250X or GTX 640 if your budget is even lower.
GPU is more important for gaming, so if gaming is primary, then get a better gpu & lesser CPU. If rendering & 2d/3d application are primary then you're good.

As for the cooler, if your ambient temps are lower than 25c & you don't plan on overclocking, the stock cooler should do just fine.

1)The CPU is good enough.
2)If you plan on overclocking, then go for the Evo version.
3)You'll need an ATX case. Antec X1 is decent.
4)WD green is quite slow(If you plan on installing your OS), go for seagate barracuda 7200 rpm.

You'll also need a good gpu,

depending on your budget go for the best one you can afford

As for ram, GSkill ripjawsX 8x8 = 16gb 1600mhz would be good enough

Yes even i was pondering over Barracuda..

I guess an 8gb (2*4) RAM would suffice. Anything you can suggest within say..75-80$?

About the GPU..does the M5A97 R2.0/Evo have onboard graphics? And also..how much is required? (1Gb/2 etc)

Apart from these, will I require any seperate coolers?
