I'm having an issue with my newly built PC. While everything runs fine usually and I can game for several hours at a time I'm finding that after gaming, particularly graphic intense games (BF4, Witcher 2), artifacts start to appear and then the system will crash with an unreadable BSOD.
Restarting after this point the artifacts remain and nothing can be done to enter windows or shut the PC down other than flicking the power switch. Allowing it to sit off for a while will allow me to get back in and have no more issues.
Not sure if it's an overheating issue, bad PSU or fault GPU, so any help would be great.

Edit: Forgot the specs:

Windows 8.1, Intel i5-4690, 8GB RAM, Gigabyte WINDFORCE Radeon R9 290, 600W Corsair PSU
