I have old PC,with NVidia motherboard. It has 2 slots to put RAM in it (DDR2). PC came with stock Kingston 1x 2GB DDR2 RAM (Don't know name of the right model). Since I have one slot left to use,I decided to buy another 1x 2GB RAM. Now,in my country there aren't many DDR2 memories left,so I'm very limited with brands and companies. I have left G. Skill Standard series or Transcend PC6400. They are simular price. Specs of both are:

Transcend - DDR2 2048MB ( 2GB ) PC6400 Transcend, 800MHz, CL5
G. Skill - DDR2 2048MB ( 2GB ) PC6400 800MHz 5-5-5-15 Latency.

You can at least look at your current memory and see what identifying information is printed on it.

there are 3 possible outcomes.

1. It works perfectly.
2. It works, but the memory operates at the speed of the slowest memory you have installed.
3. It won't work at all due to conflicts between the old and new sticks. It will still work with either the old stick or the new stick.

If you know your motherboard's memory specifications, you can always take the plunge and buy all-new memory to the size you desire.

As for specifications, the two sets you listed are similar - no difference. I'd buy G.Skill, but that's just because I've never had any problems with them and I've never installed any Transcend memory. So no real reason. :)
