Hi there I have got my gaming pc running and I was wondering about some led lighting to make it look cool. The case is a Xigmatek medium windowed case and I was wondering how I go about adding leds to the inside of my case. Just curious do they plug into a motherboard or psu and what do they use molex connectors? I was thinking a strip of leds on the top and the bottom would that work for lighting and is it possibly to add them into fans because I don't want to buy any more fans but I would like to add htem into fans to make them look good and light up when powered on. Any help appreciated :)

Normally you need to buy lighted fans as the blades are clear to allow the light to flow through, etc. You can buy ones that work on a Molex but are usually more expensive because they are designed for a PC, and really they are the same cheap ebay lights with a Molex attached and costs 3x as much.

nxzt and other pc vendors make one and two meter led strips in one color. the nxzt kits use a small control board that sits in one of the case pci slot and gets it power from sata power plug. it has hi/low/off on the back of the card. nxzt also make a rgb kit that fits in the cd rom bay on a pc and has muilt modes and colors. for the fans if yu want led colors it easy to buy a new fan and swap them.

okay thankyou but I was aslo wondering about led strips that have sticky pads that you can stick to the inside of your pc case do they have molex connectors attached to them so they plug straight into the motherboard. My motherboard is a ASUS M5A99X EVO R2.0 how many slots does it have for molex to attach to it. Is that what its called molex slots??

Here's my NZXT 2m Red LED strip, it uses MOLEX for power and long enough for me to run it around the case to illuminate the parts. Comes with adhesive clips to stick to the case (adhesive is kinda weak though)
