GeForce GTX 670 Boot Error Problems

Alright, getting sick of this. I've tried numerous things. Here are, first, the three problems I'm having, after I give details of what I'm using. This custom PC is only about 2 years old, so I don't expect these types of problems. Using a GeForce GTX 670 (current driver is 337.88). Running Windows 7 64-Bit. Motherboard is Asus P9X79. Running my PC into a Samsung LCD HD TV using DVI to HDMI. Was running fine until about a month ago. Prior to switching to the TV about two and a half months ago, I was using a regular 22" flatscreen computer monitor (Acer). Here are the three issues in order of frequency.

1. Browser freezing. When opening and using Chrome it will suddenly freeze the entire computer. This occurs rarely, but when it does the computer will go to step 3 so keep reading.

2. Screen blanking. Screen goes blank for a second or two, then reappears and Windows kernel error appears stating that the graphics driver listed above is to blame. Once it happens, it's fixed. This occurs more frequently than number one above, but not as often as the next one.

3. Boot error blank screen. This is what's happening most often. When turning on computer, PC speaker will beep three times; one long, two short. Looking it up, that indicates the graphics driver. When this happens the screen on the TV will display "check signal cable" and inside the computer I can see a red LED (I think it's on the motherboard) that has VGA listed on it. This will stay red if the screen doesn't show. Typically, I can swap the DVI into another port to fix it, or I simply have to turn the computer off and on about 4-5 times before it starts to work, and then it's fine.

Now then, here are the things I've tried.

1. Stepping back to a previous driver version with and without clean install.

2. Clean install with new version.

3. Clean install (both ways listed here), and checking off various things. Currently I've turned off Physx, all the 3D-related stuff, and everything but the HD audio and graphics driver. I've even tried turning off the HD audio to see if that helped, leaving the graphics, to no avail.

4. I've also done this and then ran FurMark for over 10 minutes, which does not seem to suggest a hardware problem to me (I'd be pretty pissed if it was because this stuff's still very new). A tech that tried to help me from Nvidia ran me through FurMark again and said the same thing, shouldn't be a hardware problem.

5. Turning off Windows automatic driver updates, didn't do anything.

6. Further note, odd thing is that when I try one of the above, the computer will seem to work normally for about a day or two and then go back to it again. Really frustrating.

7. Next thing I'm going to try is a DVI to VGA cable to see if this might fix the problem.

Suggestions? Further information requested for more details?

"When turning on computer, PC speaker will beep three times; one long, two short. Looking it up, that indicates the graphics driver"

Unusual BIOS beeps indicate a hardware problem, not a driver problem.

Your GeForce graphics driver doesn't load until Windows starts so there's no way the BIOS can detect or report a driver problem.

Your graphics card may be faulty (intermittent fault in your case, but nevertheless faulty just the same.
It may simply need reseating so try that.
